行程涵蓋多家指標性脊椎中心,包括:Chonnam National University Hospital,Prof. Hyoung-Yeon Seo與 Seoul St. Mary's Hospital,Prof.Young-Hoon Kim,展示了高難度的微創腰椎與頸椎手術技巧;
Hallym University Kangnam Sacred Heart Hospital 的 Hyun Jin Park 醫師,精彩演示雙通道融合手術,看完之後釋放了許多我心中對這個手術的限制;
Korea University Guro Hospital 的 Seung-Woo Suh 醫師,展現其在微創脊椎側彎矯正手術的深厚功力,最後還熱心跟我分享許多喔,矯正手術精華;
It was invaluable opportunity to serve as the 2025 Spine Surgery Traveling Fellow to Korea. Over the course of two weeks, I had the privilege of visiting five leading spine centers across the country and learning from top spine surgeons. From minimally invasive and endoscopic techniques to scoliosis and adult spinal deformity correction surgeries.
At Chonnam National University Hospital, Prof. Hyoung-Yeon Seo, and at Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, Prof. Young-Hoon Kim, both showcased advanced techniques in minimally invasive lumbar and cervical spine surgeries;
At Hallym University Kangnam Sacred Heart Hospital, Dr. Hyun Jin Park performed a superb demonstration of biportal endoscopic fusion surgery, breaking many of my previous assumptions and limitations about this technique;
At Korea University Guro Hospital, Dr. Seung-Woo Suh demonstrated his profound expertise in minimally invasive scoliosis correction, and generously shared key insights and pearls of wisdom about Crack procedure in deformity correction;
At Seoul National University Hospital, Professors Bong-Soon Chang and Sam Yeol Chang delivered precise and complex adult spinal deformity correction surgeries.
I also want to thank Korean fellows Jaewon Shin and Sun Tan Cho for their warm hospitality and for showing me around Seoul. To my surprise, I reconnected with the Japanese fellow Oshina, who was a colleague of mine during our training in New York eight years ago.
The journey concluded with my participation in the Korean Society of Spine Surgery (KSSS) annual meeting, where I had the honor of giving a presentation. I am deeply grateful to President JB Park, Secretary General Jae Jun Yang, Hojoong Kim, and many other Korean spine colleagues for their warm welcome and support.
